How TidyStack Helps
You point it at your Downloads folder. It reads what's there and proposes where each file should go. You approve from your phone. Files move on your machine. Nothing permanently deleted.
The whole point: get your Downloads under control without losing a Saturday to it, and without ever giving up the final say.
Who is it for
A capable Windows user who wants their Downloads folder under control. You'll be asked for an Anthropic API key and a Telegram bot token — the install guide walks you through both. If that sounds reasonable, this is for you..
How TidyStack works
Double-click the .exe. A 2-minute wizard sets up your API key, Telegram bot, and the folders TidyStack is allowed to move files into.
Install Once
Double-click TidyStack. It reads your Downloads folder and asks Claude to suggest where each file should go.
Run it when you want.
Approve from your phone
A plan arrives on Telegram. Approve everything, refine it ("don't move the screenshots"), or reject.
Locally, on your machine. Anything marked for removal goes to a "To Delete" folder for you to handle manually.

What V1 is
Scope:
Windows only.
Looks at loose files at the top level of your Downloads folder. Folders already inside Downloads are left alone.
Routes files into your existing destination folders, up to two levels deep.
Runs when you launch it. No scheduled scans yet.
Unsigned. Windows will show a SmartScreen warning the first time. The install guide explains why and how to handle it.
